Singapore Management University was founded in the year 2000. It is a premier university of Singapore which is known internationally for its teaching and research. It is the first autonomous university to be publically funded in Singapore.
The university has more than 8300 students, both in postgraduate and graduate programs. The university offers Phd programs, masters’ programs and bachelor programs in various areas. 50% of the postgraduate students of the university are international students. They come from over 30 countries. There are over 10000 postgraduate and undergraduate alumni of the university. The university also boasts of 300+ strong full time teachers. 61% of the faculty is international.
There is one campus of the university. The campus is located in the district of Bugis-Bras Basah. It is a huge campus built over 4.5 hectares. It is located in the heart of the city. There are six buildings which comprise the campus:
Transport and Location
The Singapore Management University campus is easily accessible via bus service as well as the MRT (mass rapid transit) train station, the MRT station of Bras Basah. The campus is located in the heritage & arts precinct and central business district.
