Concordia University is one of top most Canadian public comprehensive university with in Canada. Founded in 1974, the university has almost 45,954 students enrolled at its campus, making Concordia University among the largest in Canada by enrollment. The university has three campus and facilities in the cosmopolitan city of Montreal, Quebec and in Canada.
Concordia University was ranked seventh among canadian universities and 33rd among world universities. Internationally, Concordia was ranked between 461th and 470th in the 2014 QS World University Rankings.

The Concordia University encourages students and its faculty members with a research-friendly environment which values their ideas and encourages the diverse nature of their thoughts and need of research done at Concordia. The university allocates a lot of funds and other financial resources to research.
Concordia University gives an equal importance to its sports with its academics. The athletic teams of Concordia are called the Concordia Stingers. The university has about 10 varsity teams and participate and compete in the Canadian football, soccer, rugby and sport wrestling- all men's and women's.
The university library has at two locations, Webster Library, located in the McConnell building on the sir george williams campus and vanier library on the loyola campus. The university owns some unique and special collections in their libraries.
