What is USA study Visa?

1. Prepare for IELTS or Apply without IELTS

Acceptable test for university admissions and for immigration purposes are IELTS (General and Academic both), PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT.

4. Pay the SEVIS Fee
After acceptance, pay the SEVIS fee online. This is a mandatory fee that funds the SEVIS system, tracking and monitoring students and exchange visitors in the U.S.

5. Receive Form I-20
Upon payment of the SEVIS fee, the U.S. school will issue Form I-20, which is a Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status. This form outlines program details and is required for the visa application.

6. Complete the Online Visa Application (DS-160)

7. Pay the Visa Application Fee
Pay the non-refundable visa application fee. This fee covers the cost of processing the visa application and is required for each applicant.

8. Schedule a Visa Interview
Schedule a visa interview at the U.S. embassy or consulate in your home country. It’s advisable to schedule this well in advance of your intended travel date.
9. Gather Required Documents
Assemble a comprehensive set of documents, including:
- 1.Passport valid for at least six months beyond your intended period of stay.
- 2.Visa application fee payment receipt.
- 3.Form I-20 issued by the U.S. school.
- 4.SEVIS fee payment receipt.

10. Attend the Visa Interview

11. Visa Decision

12. Pay the SEVIS Fee (Again, if Necessary)
Some students may need to pay the SEVIS fee again after visa approval. Check the guidelines provided by the U.S. embassy or consulate.
13. Travel to the U.S
Once you have the F-1 visa, you can make travel arrangements to the United States. Remember to carry all relevant documents, including your Form I-20, passport, and visa, in your carry-on luggage.
14. Arrival in the U.S
Upon arrival, go through the port of entry procedures. The Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer will issue an I-94 form, indicating your authorized period of stay.
