ielts Overview

"IELTS," which stands for the International English Language Testing System. IELTS is a standardized test designed to assess the language proficiency of non-native English speakers who plan to study, work, or migrate to English-speaking countries. The test measures the ability to communicate in the four language skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking.

IELTS is accepted by universities and organizations in many countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and the United States. There are two main types of IELTS tests: Academic and General Training. The Academic version is usually required for those planning to pursue higher education, while the General Training version is often used for immigration purposes or for work-related visas.

Difference Between Computer - Delivered IELTS and Pen- Paper IELTS

Computer-Delivered IELTS (CD IELTS) is taken on a computer, with listening, reading, and writing sections completed electronically, while Pen-and-Paper IELTS (PB IELTS) involves traditional handwritten responses for all sections. CD IELTS offers faster results and more flexible test dates, whereas PB IELTS maintains a longer result processing time and potentially fewer test date options. The choice depends on personal preferences and comfort with the testing format.
